Whether or not you service your gas appliances annually could be a matter of life and death.

Many people underestimate the importance of annual servicing of gas appliances and are unaware of the consequences.

Servicing must be carried out at least every 12 months to ensure the appliance is operating correctly, is safe to use and is operating at its most efficient.

Not servicing your gas appliances can lead to failure of safety devices, corrosion on the appliance which can lead to leaks, failure of parts or complete failure of the appliance. Debris build up on burners leads to incomplete combustion - this leads to the production of carbon monoxide. A blockage in the flue can also result in poor combustion.

Signs that your appliance requires immediate attention:

1. Staining of the appliance or room decorations
2. Excessive yellow or orange flames
3. Soot deposits
4. Unstable combustion
